So, I have purple hair. It’s only just sinking in.
Here I am yesterday, pre-appointment with just your average brown mop.
First up we had to lighten the tips so the violet would show up on my dark chestnut hair. Bleach was roughly worked into the ends to give a blended, gradual effect rather than a harsh straight line:
And here it is, not a great shot but it really is quite subtle so trying to catch it in the right light is tricky:
I’ll update this post this week with a few more styles I have in mind, like a fishtail plait with the purple ends loose and a high ponytail tied at the purple/brown divide.
It’s safe to say I’m hooked on the dip dye trend; I’m already planning my next colour session – perhaps dipping a really, really pale lilac just on the bottom 2 inches for a three shade effect?
