Ta dah!
My first Glossybox arrived earlier in the week but I wanted to wait until I’d trialled the products before I posted. This month the theme was: DIY Beauty.
I did this series of shots so you could see how beautifully packaged the Glossybox is, it really feels like a gift, every month. I love the grown-up feminine (rather than overtly girly) blush pink and chocolate combo of grosgrain ribbon, tissue and minature shoebox.
Inside the card is a list, detailing the contents of your glossybox, giving you the RRP and a Q-code that takes you straight to the product’s website. Handy, if it’s not a brand you are familiar with. There are exclusive discounts codes too in case you fall in love with a particular product and want to buy the full-sized version.
My only tip would be, don’t go on the Glossybox website. Here they list ALL the items that go into the October Glossyboxes (not all boxes are the same), and after a quick scan I felt a bit bummed I hadn’t got the Organic Pharmacy peel mask or the Olay Regenerist 3-point treatment cream. I know, ungrateful much?
So, first up the Yves Rocher instant anti-wrinkle moisturiser. While I can’t see any ‘instant’ effects on my wrinkles, I love the super light-weight cucumbery formula. It contains hyaluronic acid too for serious hydration which is just what my skin needs at the onset of winter.
The Dr. Jart BB Cream is a great ‘weekend away’ size, it gives very light coverage (much less so than other BB creams I have used) but was a great colour match and left skin nice and dewy.
The only bum-note for me was the Sally Hansen highlighter pink nail polish, just not my shade but my sister loved it so, every cloud…
The Anatomicals pink grapefruit body scrub is great, my first trial of this brand and with a £3.50 price tag for a 250ml tube, out of the box this is definitely one I’ll be repurchasing.
The Skinetica product is a localised spot treatment, I haven’t tested it yet but a good one to have at the back of the bathroom cabinet for those hormonal breakouts.
So that’s it for this month, overall I’m really chuffed. The range of products is great (nails, skincare, make-up) and the samples sizes are bigger than I’d imagined for just £10 a month.

lovely photos! and what a great box to have as your first, I’ve been subscribed for 6 months and was going to cancel as I didn’t think I was getting my money’s worth – but this box changed my mind! the body scub smells sooo good xx

Hi Hayley, interesting you say that – I was wondering if this month was an especially generous box. Will see how the next few months pan out. Yes, loving the scrub, I haven’t found it too drying either, have you? Normal a prob with budget scrubs. CF x
