My Liberty tooled patent leather maxi bag isn’t a new purchase, but a seasonal favourite that signals the switch to my autumn wardrobe. She’s been tucked up in her dust bag all summer but as the first leaves drop, out she comes:
Each year I fall in love with her all over again. Yes, she’s HUGE but she’s got it all. Beautiful dark forest green, tooled leather panels and fantastic structural lines. She’s the perfect foil to my monochromatic winter wardrobe of black skinnies, biker boots and white shirts and grey knits. Ironically, when I snapped her up in the Liberty sale many moons ago, diverted en route to a press launch, never would I have imagined that her roomy proportions would make the perfect ‘mummy bag’ for all Country Bebe’s clobber.
On another forest green note, I’m also loving short, square nails in this colour from Zoya:
I’ll be swatching this along with some other seasonal nail trends next week, so stay tuned (or better still, click on the sign up here link on the top right and let the countryfille.com posts come to you).
