So here it is. I promised to swatch the latest foundation launch from Revlon last week in the new bi-monthly series ‘Beauty Bulletin’, and I’m really impressed.
My immediate thoughts were how much the packaging reminded me of one of my favourite make-up brands, Myface cosmetics (from make-up artist Charlotte Tilbury). Clean, modern white and perspex. The powder compact is slimline, but with a built-in mirror and puff it’s a great handbag essential. The formula itself is finely milled and gave my shine-prone t-zone a good half day’s worth of mattifying, pore-perfecting coverage.
While I kept the powder to the centre of my face, I applied the foundation all over in a light, veil-like layer. It is a very light-weight fluid (which in my opinion would have worked better in a pump dispenser rather than open bottle, but never mind) that with some gentle patting and coercing sunk straight into my skin. I wouldn’t say it left my skin dewy, but softer with a natural finish.
We always say summer is the time to keep make-up layers light, I disagree. With central heating, extremes of temperature and wind factor, winter skin really does need to be able to breathe. This is the perfect option for those who want coverage but not cake. It will gloss over the bad bits (spots, scarring, pigmentation) but leave skin tone and texture to shine through.
Out 20 February at major Boots, Superdrug, Tesco and beautymart.co.uk

I love Bobbi Brown too, but so expensive... interesting to give this a go now to see if it's a good substitute
Hi Clare! Yes, give it a go - I'd say it's a similar consistency (fluid) and coverage (medium) to BB's Skin Foundation but I find that gives me a dewy finish, where as this is quite natural/matte. Let me know how you get on! CF x
