Ombre, dip-dyed, balayage… whatever you want to call it. I’m getting it done!
When I sent out a tweet yesterday asking if getting your hair dip-dyed a/ if you’re not under 25 b/ or in a band was okay, I was thrilled to get the green light from my London hair heroes – Kell Skott (their salon on Lambton Place just off Westbourne Grove is sublime, I miss them beyond words). Voted the UK’s favourite Wella System Professional salon, I was assured that they have been inundated with requests for ombre colour treatments from the ladies (not just punk teens) of West London and, knowing my tresses, assured me it could look fabulous.
So…. I’ve decided to dip my toe in the shallow end of the ombre spectrum.
A dark violet hue on the last four inches of hair. Tomorrow, 12.30pm. Eek!
