So far, in countryfille.com’s short life, I have posted from the sofa, bed, the car, on holiday and in the garden.
Since leaving the office environment I have yearned for my own creative space to work, collect tear-sheets, press releases and squirrel myself away to build, nurture and develop my new business.
And here it is:
Tucked up the corner of our open-plan living room/dining room, under the stairs, it’s not quite the tranquil peace and quiet I had hoped for but it’s ALL MINE.
The ‘Graphix’ desk, £129 is from made.com, our first order from the online ‘straight from the designer’ interiors website and we’re impressed with both the design and the service. There has been a little niggle with a flaw in the top but the customer service team are A*, organising a replacement with no-fuss within 24 hours of us logging our complaint.
The little selection in the corner includes my treasured French vintage alarm clock from the amazing Amanda Leader’s Etsy shop (it was on my bedside table but the super loud tick annoyed the OH!), I find it quite soothing, some white noise to calm my frazzled brain.
The snaps are a careful edit of my favourite memories, people and places (wedding day, Country Bebe and Ravello – respectively).
The little bowl is my attempt to keep my clutter in one place. I always keep cuticle oil and hand cream on any desk I have as I find it reminds me to apply it more often.
The great graphic magazine files (there are no drawers on the desk so I need space to store my ‘bumpf’) are £7 from paperchase and I have commandeered this antique Maille mustard pot for my pens.
I’m just waiting for my chrome anglepoise lamp (on order from made.com again) and I’m all set.
Now I just need someone to make the coffee…
Other snapshots in this series include my dressing table, bedside unit and Country Bebe’s nursery
