Toto & Fifi is another small brand I found through the power of Instagram.
Am I the only parent who never has any idea what to do with the mountain of drawings, collages and Very Important Bits of Paper that seem to spew out of their children? Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for the process – the rocket designs, the treasure maps… in fact, my favourite thing is to watch them draw the people they love – the features they hone in on – usually, quite accurately. In early December I asked the eldest (Dante) to draw a picture of Nonno (also Dante). He thought for a moment and drew what was basically a massive moustache, with a face attached. I love the mad, animated expression, which again – is pretty accurate.
I whizzed it over to Sarah at Toto & Fifi who hand printed it onto a t-shirt and on Christmas Day Dante proudly handed it over to Dante – tickled pink with his first foray into fashion design.
Just another 9201 ‘masterpieces’ to find a home for now…
